I smell good. Here's why.
I had a long night and an early morning. Pretty much, my hair smells like rancid smoke and rock music. I rolled out of bed and trudged into Panera for a bagel and massive diet soda today. On my way out, an employee remarked, "Ohhh!"
I thought she was choking on the second-hand Marlboros. But she said, "You smell so good!" I knew then it was time to share.
I've gotten so many compliments on my latest fragrance. And it's cheap: Bath and Body Works Rainkissed Leaves body splash, $11 a bottle. I snagged a few mini-preview bottles at the register for $1 last month and fell in love.
The B&B Works website describes it this way: "white peony, pink jasmine... re-creation of summer rain with lush green leaves, crisp watercress and transparent woods. Lustrous. Youthful. Poetic."
The Panera employee described it this way: "It smells like it cost $100!"
I may snag a full bottle of the actual Eau de Toilette. Even that's a steal at $19, when you think about the price of department store fragrance. On the other hand, there's something nice about the sloppy excess you can have with body splash since it's less concentrated - especially when you're too bleary to ensure your shoes match.
Take my secret and treasure it, my children. You have my blessing.
