Ikea Tampa: Cheapo P.J.'s and blow-out deals!
She writes: "Love your column ... and wanted to share a great deal I found completely accidentally this weekend. I was in Ikea (needed a whisk) and happened on a set of pajamas in their Ikea Family section (near the restaurant, upstairs, in the Tampa store). They're just a short-sleeved T and pants and they only come in black, but they were only $9.99 and are super soft and comfy - like, better quality than the Gap Body stuff I usually buy, which is much pricier!"
And wait, it gets better...
On Thursdays, if you eat dinner in the Ikea restaurant, you get a store gift card for what you spent, between $5 and $25. The gift cards don't expire, so you can come back and spend them whenever. Even better, they'll let you accumulate those gift cards and spend at one time, so two $5 meals can snag you those P.J.'s.
Pinch me: Is this for real??
Yes, Virginia, it is so. (I called the store to double-check). And there's more: On Wow Wednesdays, an item or two gets deeply discounted for a day. This week's deal includes a $499 dining table for $199. Next Wednesday, you could pick up a $249 love seat for $99.
I'm exhausted just thinking about the possibilities. But there's even more: Mark your calendars, Ikea fans, for May 6 to 9. Ikea is having a birthday party to celebrate its first year in Tampa with a rare sale at just our store. Many items will be 30 to 70 percent off.
How many Thursday meal-gift cards can I rack up between now and then?
