Jellies: Tacky '80s fad or cute comeback?
I'll admit my bias up front: I bought jellies, and they have quickly become my summer weekend shoe staple.
But when I told my younger, hipper sisters about my ode to girlhood, they sounded slightly horrified over the phone.
I'm an anti-Crocs gal, so these shoes required a bit of a leap. But in my defense, I didn't go for one of the plastic gladiator styles or the questionable color versions. Mine are clear, Steve Madden ballet flats from DSW. They cost me 20 bucks. Contrary to skeptics, they do not get sticky in our icky 90-degree heat. I actually feel quite fleet-footed in them.
So, fellow fashionistas, answer me this: Do you dare return to the Jelly? Or are you staying far, far away from anything plastic on your footsies?
