Kate Middleton wears Stuart Weitzman shoes at the Olympics
I have a problem, and it's called the Olympics. I'm extra obsessed this year. I bought a vintage Team USA shirt at the Gap, which I will (SPOILER ALERT) probably show you for My Outfit Monday next week. The games feel like the ultimate escape, like an old friend who is waiting for you on horseback via CNBC whenever you get home and get the pizza reheated. And the fashions are endlessly entertaining, as we know.
On that tip:
The folks at Stuart Weitzman are REALLY, REALLY excited that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (or Kate Middleton for the Google) wore Stuart shoes a bajillion days in a row at the Olympics. The company has e-mailed to tell us several times now. She wore her blue suede Corkswoon wedges for three days so far, to events including show jumping and cross country equestrian events and the torch arrival ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Here she is in said shoes with hubs, strolling the Olympic village Tuesday.
Here's a better look, on her way to the horse jumping event:
They're obviously wonderful shoes, and I'm sure they're very comfortable since she has been in them for days now. I love the she repeats clothes and is said to pay for her own wardrobe. That said, this style of kick usually runs about $375, or $190 on sale. We... well, we just can't. I'm happy for her that she can.
A quick search on Zappos.com for "cork wedge" reveals some more Deal Diva friendly options, though!
