Live from Fashion Week: Wool is cool

Pash Jessica, our blogger on the street at New York Fashion Week, notes that summer scarves have trickled over into September in cashmere form.

Ladies and gentlemen, a trend has taken over New York City. Pashminas! They're everywhere!

What is a pashmina? It's a fancy word for a cashmere scarf, basically. Um, it's hot in New York, people. Not just a little warm, HOT! Especially when you're speed walking to your next train or anywhere else. Alas, New Yorkers have taken to wearing these pashminas with everything: shorts, tank tops, jeans, business wear... Usually the look is big sunglasses, t-shirt or tank top, shorts, flip flops and a... scarf?

I must say, it is kind of cute. Very Mary-Kate. Maybe I'll pick one up before I leave. I know, I'm a sheep.
