Mother's Day gift ideas (she won't even know you scrimped!!!)
But you can't look cheap. So we're updating our list of Mother's Day gift ideas just in time for all of you procrastinating Deal Divas:
Fresh florals: We recommended buying loose roses and putting in a fancy vase as a way to get more bang for your buck. This year, consider arranging in a pretty tea pot. It's flowers and a too-cute gift all in one.
Gift bags: Got a couple of little gifts to throw together, like a framed family photo and box of chocolates? Buy a tote to place them in, and make the whole package your gift. The Dillard's clearance center, Target, Kohls and Wal-Mart are good hunting grounds for totes. Or buy a reusable grocery bag (Fresh Market and Winn Dixie have super cute designs) and be eco-friendly, not cheap.
Picnic love: Who wants to pay too much to eat too much? Consider planning a picnic at one of our lovely Gulf beaches -- while they are still postcard perfect. For the outing, buy a nice basket and plastic plates and glasses for summer backyard use (you can find everywhere, from grocery stores to discount stores). Let these be your gift to Mom. Just don't make her do the dishes!
