My Outfit Monday: Up and At 'Em
I would like to state for the record that I am not a morning person.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not overly grumpy or anything. Once I get going, I'm fine. It's just that the physical act of dragging myself out of bed sometimes seems seem darn near impossible -- especially on Monday mornings and especially when the snooze button is right there.
That's why I decided this morning that a little 'pick me up' was in order.
Enter this little red number I snagged a few weeks ago from Bealls during an online shopping frenzy for work dresses. At $40, the cost of this faux wrap dress was a bit steep for my tastes but it came with the belt and I was enamored with the design.
If you remember, I blogged a couple months ago about how I was trying to add color to my wardrobe. Well, the bright color of this dress is perfect for those days when I want to feel invigorated.
And I also love that by simply swapping out the pumps for wedges or strappy sandals, the dress easily transitions to a weekend or happy hour outfit.
