My Outfit Monday: bright colors for a cloudy day
I woke up this morning to an overcast sky and the sound of my weird neighbor rifling through the Dumpster behind my apartment. Must be Monday.
To combat all the potential for impending gloom, I decided to don warm and springy brights.
The T-shirt is vintage Walmart, circa my high school days. I covered up the spaghetti straps with one of my fave pieces for layering -- a short-sleeved, soft beige sweater from Target -- and cinched it all together with a braided belt I've had so long I can't remember where it came from. The gold, patterned skirt is a hand-me-down from my grandmother, and the purse was a $4 Goodwill score. You can't see my shoes, but they're gold wedges I got on sale at Nine West last year.
As you can see, I put an equal amount of effort into my hair (not). Still, I'm feeling comfortable and cheerful, for a Monday.
What do you think?

There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
