My Outfit Monday: Cookies, polka dots and pearls
The theme of today's My Outfit Monday is COOKIES.
Well, not really. Cookies have nothing to do with the outfit, but they have a lot to do with Monday. Last night amid a spell of stress, I got up and started whacking together butter and sugar and oatmeal and flour until I came up with a big bowl of cookie dough, white powdery dust exploding on my Hello Kitty sleep shirt, dog staring in confusion. Turns out, baking is a great way to take out aggression, especially if you stir everything by hand. I committed aggravated assault with a weapon on those lumps of brown sugar that turn into little stones. And it felt great. And then I ate the raw dough, salmonella be cursed! And it felt great.
Bonus: I have cookies for work today. Everyone in the office needs something sweet on a Monday, especially this girl, and I do think they complement my outfit. Here I am with a crazed cookie expression in my eye.

The pink polka dot top, which drapes open in the back, is from TJ Maxx. The skirt and shoes are from JC Penney, and the beloved cami is from Charlotte Russe. I have one in every color.
I picked up this three-strand pearl necklace recently at Revolve Clothing Exchange in St. Petersburg. I, of course, was drawn to the huge bow. To help you get a feel, I held up a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie for scale.

Happiest of Mondays, Divas. I hope yours is filled with butter, too.

There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
