My Outfit Monday: Food and Wine Festival Fashion

7

November

I'm stuffed.

I spent the weekend at Epcot in Disney World, partaking in the International Food and Wine Festival with some old and new friends. It was gluttonous, fabulous, amazing. Everything I ate and drank was delicious and rich and over the top, and believe me, there was A LOT. Special thanks to my superb boyfriend for squiring me on this excursion, because it is not cheap, not even a little, and there's no way I could have faux-toured the world on my working press pay. In fact, we might have to pawn our television this week, but I think it was worth it.

Here I am in "Italy."

It was a gorgeous day Saturday, but pretty chilly. I wore layers and stuffed the black scarf in my beaded cross-body bag from Dubai. My coral top is Old Navy, snagged on sale a couple weeks ago. My black jeggings (stretchy, for max food space) are Underground Soul from Nordstrom, and the cardigan is my all-time favorite style from Zara.

The boots?

Remember when I told you about the Today show Jill's Steals and Deals sale on riding boots from Aerosoles? How I finally purchased them in tan after trying to get through the website for five hours?

It turned into a whole long ordeal. The company e-mailed the next day saying they were out of tan, so I opted for black at the same price. A couple weeks went by, and no boots arrived at my door. I checked the tracking online and saw they were back in New Jersey. After a long and confusing phone conversation with an operator who asked ME why they got returned ("That's why I'm calling you...", I said), the boots were reshipped to my address. Then I got charged twice and had to call again. Sigh.

In the end, it all worked out and I got my refund and my boots. It was worth the trouble. These things were so very lovely, and I say that after traversing Epcot in them for literally eight hours. It's refreshing to have a casual shoe that is legitimately comfortable and doesn't look like an orthopedic sneaker. I recommend Aerosoles for your comfort needs, but maybe just go into a store instead of ordering from a frenzied mega-sale online.

What did you all do this weekend?
