My Outfit Monday: Grocery store glam
I think we can all agree that Monday should be a jeans and T-shirt kind of day. Luckily for me, they usually are, since I work Tuesday-Saturday.
Never was I more grateful for that fact than a recent Monday, when I woke up feeling like someone had been throwing bricks at me the whole night, thanks to a pretty intense session at the gym.
Needless to say, I wasn't in the mood for fancy.
Besides, the only people likely to see me were fellow Publix shoppers and the crazy people at the dog park.

Let's start with the most important item: my jeans. I know, I know, they aren't anything special. I think they cost $15 at TJ Maxx last year. But the fact that I'm wearing them is a miracle! I almost gave up on them a few months ago after one particularly depressing morning when all the twisting and turning in the world didn't move them up my legs (you know how it is ladies).
I guess I can't be too mad at my Body Combat class instructor now, right?
I paired the jeans with this flowery pink top from Off The Rack. It was an impulse buy several at the beginning of summer, but only cost something like $6 if I remember correctly. The purple necklace I'm wearing cost $8.95 at Bijou Brigitte in Tyrone Square Mall. I got it a couple weeks ago while preparing for my first trip to Tallahassee. The white sweater-shrug-thingie (is there some other proper name for it?) came from Marshalls forever ago for like $12.
The sunglasses are significant too. I picked them up last year for like $5 at Charlotte Russe. But I haven't worn them either for a few months. (No, not because my face was too big. :P. Turns out my boyfriend put them on a really high shelf some time ago and forgot to say anything)
It's OK, I got him back. He had to get up early and take this picture.
