My Outfit Monday: New day, new blues!
It's a fun day. I've moved to the a new bureau of the Tampa Bay Times, in downtown Tampa, a place full of natural sunlight that makes for great My Outfit Monday pictures. I'll be taking on some new reporting duties, including roving around the campus of the University of South Florida and looking for good stories. Last week, I went over to USF and met a bunch of cool people who had lots of news tips, most pressing of which was to stop by the Dillard's Clearance Center on my way out. It had been ages since I'd been in the discount department store at University Mall, where everything is 65 percent off and then some (and also final sale, FYI). I picked up this blue silk Kensie dress, marked down from more than $100 to $20.

The jacket? The jacket has become a problem. I picked up this jacket in a boutique on a trip to Las Vegas in October. It's cotton and faux-leather, which means it has the tough appearance of leather without all the weight and warmth. I love how it pairs with frilly dresses like this one. In fact, I love how it pairs with everything, which is the problem. I wore it last Friday. And I might have worn it last Wednesday, too. I was hoping nobody would notice, but now I've gone and pointed it out here on the blog. Guess I should give it a rest for a while, at least until Friday.

The earrings are from White House Black Market, and are neither white nor black, but blue, one of the store's signature solo colors last year. The snakeskin pumps (faux, of course) were $15 on sale at Target. They're still there if you want to grab a pair before they're gone. The site says they're more than I paid in person, so be sure to check your local store and save some money.
Speaking of Target...
Remember how I couldn't shut up about the blue sequined Tracey Reese top in the Neiman Marcus collection? Of course you do. Well, it was like a game of Deal or No Deal. It started out at $80, and I wasn't about to pay that much for a shirt from Target. Then it went down to half-off, and I still wasn't about to pay that much. When it went down to 70 percent off, and I remembered I had a Christmas gift card (Thanks, Grandpa Larry and Grandma Kathy!), I decided to go for it. It's probably more of an evening party top, what with all the glitter, but I just couldn't wait and paired it Sunday afternoon with some crummy Old Navy jeans and blue ballet flats, also picked up in Vegas, and also worn way too often. Say hi to Stuart, my miniature Saint Bernard in the corner. He loves the new top!

I love it, too. My only complaint is that it's a little front-heavy because the back doesn't have any sequins. But therein lies the reason it's available at Target in the first place, so I'm willing to compromise.
Did you all find any good deals over the weekend? Make sure to check out Target for 70 percent off that whole designer collection. I'm sure it wont last!
