My Outfit Monday: A Smurfing good time at the movies
This weekend, I went to the movies. I saw Xmen: First Class, not The Smurfs, but I thought I'd pose next to the Smurfulous poster for My Outfit Monday since the Smurfs and I share so many physical characteristics. We're like siblings! We could share clothes!
I'm wearing a crochet tank from Nordstrom and Gap ankle pants I've had for a million years, purchased in Boston. I paired it with a Eiffel Tower pendant from Forever 21, my way of saying I'd rather see Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris over Xmen: First Class. But it was not my vote to win this time. I also accessorized with a frosty Diet Coke and a buttery, greasy, salty movie theater popcorn, something I HAVE TO HAVE every time, and something that makes me SO SICK every time. Blond, is all I can say in my defense. Blond and weak.
Here's the back of the top (and also, the top of the back, WHOA, WEIRD). It's my favorite part.
Fun, right? Cutting all my hair off was worth it if only to show off this fancy handiwork.
I had platform shoes on for a while that morning, (see: Smurf), but I decided at the last minute that was stupid, that I wanted to be comfortable, and that Smurfs are really rather fetching. So, I threw on my pink and brown Converse Chuck Taylors, snagged at TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx is a great place to find Chucks at half of what they retail for most places.
Was your weekend comfy, too? Are you taller than Papa Smurf? Do share!
