My Outfit Monday: Zany outfit swap!

"Wait just a hot minute," you say. "That's a not a Deal Diva down there." Well, we have a surprise for you today. We've swapped outfit posts with one of our favorite bloggers, Kristin Swenson from BonBon Rose Girls. You can see her look here, and my look over on her blog. Got it? We're hoping to expand our happy little blogger community and expose you guys to some new things.

We thought it would be fun to both try a maxi skirt, a big trend we've talked about here before. I'll let Kristin take it away in a second. First, I wanted to let you know you can join Kristin and other fashion, lifestyle and food bloggers at the inaugural Blogger Brilliance conference in Tampa Saturday. It's the event to attend if you're established or just looking to get into blogging and need some direction. Kristin, for one, was a new mom looking for something fulfilling when she and her best friend turned BonBon Rose Girls into an actual business. It can happen. Here's some information on a few of the speakers, as well as how to get tickets.

Ok, shutting up now. Let's see it, Kristin. And don't forget to visit BonBon Rose Girls to see MY Outfit Monday.

Deal Diva Stephanie

I am so excited to be gracing the Deal Divas' fabulous blog today! When my girl Stephanie suggested that we do a bloggy outfit swap, I was all over it, until she mentioned that we'd be styling maxi skirts, that is. If you've read my blog, you know that maxi skirts terrify me. I'll rock maxi dresses any day of the week, but maxi skirts really scare the heck outta this short-waisted gal!

A broken-up silhouette can be less than flattering when you're both height challenged AND you've been blessed with a short torso, but I decided to throw caution to the wind and attempt to sport a maxi skirt with aplomb.

I was inspired by one of Jessica Alba's maternity looks. That's right. That girl's maternity style was SO good, even non-preggers gals can draw inspiration from it!

I'm a total Maxxinista, so I headed right over to TJ Maxx to see if I could score a maxi skirt for a song. My mission was a complete success! I found this striped number for a mere $12. I styled it with my favorite layering pieces, which just so happen to be Hanes mens tanks, a BaubleBar Orca Bracelet, a Lucky Brand enamel bangle, which was also a TJ Maxx find, a Gap denim jacket and Tahari patent wedges.

So, what do you think, lovelies? Is this look a hit or a miss? Inquiring minds want to know! And before you go on with your day, make sure you head over to BonBon Rose Girls to check out how Stephanie worked her maxi skirt! For even more BonBon Rose Girls fun, visit us on Facebook and Twitter!
