My Outfit Monday: Zip it good!
We usually dress for the weather. Duh.
Do you ever dress as the weather?
When I woke up this morning, I could only think of this satin H&M dress, patterned in hues of blue, grey, black and white that match today's ominous sky.

I've been wearing it a lot lately, including today for work and again a few weeks ago during a test-drive of my sweet new bicycle. The dress has a punky zipper down the front, which gives me flexibility to dress it up with heels or down with tights, boots and a cardigan.
I know I have a choice in the matter, but I can't stop wearing the dress with these tough boots I snagged from Target in November. They were just $27 (!) and have their own statement zipper.

I probably love them too much. Temps below 70 degrees Fahrenheit? I'm wearing the boots. Slight chance of precipitation? Boots. Normal day that does not call for big boots? B. B. As in, big boots.
Today I paired the dress with these cobalt earrings that I, shockingly, have not yet lost from a trip to Jordan three years ago. Another time I wore it with this cool, yet incredibly itchy white necklace also from H&M.

What's your review? Is the dress even cute? Is the boots obsession healthy?

Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
