My Tucker for Target finds
It was like Christmas morning.
I walked into Target this weekend, intending only to leave with deodorant and a workout top, when I saw it. Finally.
Tucker for Target is here.
As part of the store's GO International Collection, designer Gaby Basora created oodles of silky blouses, bold pencil skirts and flowy dresses, all at lovely Target prices. I've seen teases about the collection splashed across magazines for months, but little did I know, THE TIME HAS COME.
I scooped up what was left in my size and headed to the fitting rooms. I loved the ease of the button-down, tie-front dresses (like this one), and Tucker's herringbone coat left this beach-goer pining for winter. But I restrained myself and walked away with my two favorites:
The funky sleeves on this silk top screamed BUY ME, WEAR ME! Tucker must know about my secret obsession with anything even remotely ikat-ish. It was nearly $25, which is more than I'd typically pay for a blouse, but I just couldn't say no! Those fabulous little sleeves pulled me into their grasp, never to return again.
And ahhh this pencil skirt. I saw it on a fashion spread awhile back and braced myself as I checked the credits for the price. Tarjay??! Was this a dream!? The subtle and sturdy orange fabric makes this a great transition into fall. Picture it with pumps or high brown boots or perhaps over tights (never white, though). I didn't hesitate shelling out $35 for something I know I'll get a ton of wear out of in the months ahead.
Check it out for yourself. But hurry -- from the looks of it, this collection is going fast!
