Need a hug? This jacket might come in 'handy'
The cold days of winter are coming. Those mushy, lovey-dovey holidays like Christmas and Valentine’s Day will soon follow.
For the lonely-hearted out there, there’s no need to fret.
A new garment making the internet rounds is pegged as one that has perk-up power that even Eeyore couldn’t resist.
All hail ... the “Hug Me Jacket.”
Emerging designer Si Chan says the jacket (along with the five other items in his menswear line) uses hands to abstractly express the roles interaction and communication play in counteracting loneliness.
The green padded alien-esque “arms” wrapping around jacket’s exterior, he said, are meant to make the wearer feel “warm and hugged.”
“Everybody needs love, Don’t you?” the recent London College of Fashion graduate wrote in his blog.
Turns out good lovin' comes at a price, though. The proposed price tag on this baby is reportedly a whopping $1,280.
What do you think of Chan’s designs? Fug or fab?
