Never Say Never: Justin Bieber perfume

A couple months ago, I took my 5-year-old niece shopping. As I drove her to the mall, she sat in her car seat proudly rattled off the contents of bieber.jpgher big-girl purse, which included sunglasses, several lip glosses and a "Justin Bieber nail polish." I craned my neck from the front seat to see. Justin Bieber nail polish? She held up a glittery purple bottle in her teeny little hand.

Well, cool. Makes sense. Justin Bieber is more cutesy and feminine than most ladies I know, and his innocent, unisex image is probably part of the appeal for tween girls and 5-year-old nieces. And guys wear nail polish sometimes, right?bieberperfume.jpg

Then this past weekend, I noticed Sephora's website was spotlighting a newish Justin Bieber perfume, called SOMEDAY by Justin Bieber. The bottle is very flamboyant and interesting-looking -- nothing unisex about it! -- and the scent is described as flirty and fresh, with notes of mandarin, berries, vanilla and "creamy florals."

According to the description: "It is a personal gift straight from his heart, a scent that drives him wild and makes the girls who wear it totally irresistible. So go beyond the music and journey deep into a world of possibilities—into the world of Justin Bieber."

Well, not really. I hardly ever wear perfume, out of deathly fear that I'll wear too much and no one will tell me and I'll become that lady in the office. You know which one I'm talking about. However, it looks like Biebs thought of this too, as SOMEDAY also comes in a $20 "hair mist." I prefer a lotion, but I'm thinking I may not be the demographic Justin Bieber and his marketing machine are targeting.
