New Deal Divas in the house!
Our more astute readers (I'm looking at you (@KMT9) may have noticed a fresh lineup in our cartoon banner. That's right -- Deal Diva Emily, our beloved friend, left for a glam job in public relations at Bayfront Medical Center, leaving an opening in the Deal Diva lineup. We added one. And while we were at it, we got a little carried away and added two new Divas! We're hoping to bring you even more academic-level discussions than you already enjoy about hiding your credit card in your bra and getting your bangs to stay straight.
Please help welcome the new recruits! Like all of us, they are busy news and politics reporters by day with a passion for fashion by night (OK, and by day, too). We're still arranging Katie's official Diva picture on the red background, so until we get it, I will steal one off her Facebook page. Enjoy their bios and give them a warm welcome next week!
Deal Diva Katie
Katie Sanders foolishly spurned pretty dresses and shoes as a child, tossing new clothes over her shoulder at birthday parties with a totally rude "no, thank you." Her drab days of monocolor outfits are over now, and she certainly knows better than to turn down free stuff. Her wardrobe mixes classic with quirk. Think blazers with statement necklaces, and lots of patterned ballet flats. She can be reached at (850) 224-7263 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Deal Diva Keyonna
From camo pants and construction boots to sundresses, sweaters and sling backs, Keyonna Summers knows how to make all of it rock -- at rock bottom prices. A Detroit native, Keyonna delves into her urban roots to find fashion pairings that give a nod to street fashion while maintaining the class of the modern, professional woman. She believes in searching for affordable clothes that look expensive and can easily be dressed up or down. You won't find plaid shirts or fleece jackets in her closet; the only hiking Keyonna does is to the bargain basement. She can be reached at (727) 445-4153 or email@example.com.
