New to you clothes, plus a fashion show!
They say charity is its own reward, but a new belt or pair of jeans never hurts, either. This Saturday, help a worthy cause and score some fab new-to-you clothing at Buffalo Gal Vintage's Second Annual Charity Clothing Swap and Trashy Fashion Show.
Here's how it works: From 10 a.m. to noon, drop off a bag of your fat clothes, skinny clothes, those awful tapered khakis that accentuate your cankles and whatever else you no longer wear. Men's, women's and children's clothing is welcome; it doesn't have to be vintage. Sorry, no undergarments.
At noon, enjoy a trashy fashion show in which all the garments and accessories are made with at least 75 percent recycled materials.
Then from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., B.Y.O. shopping bag to fill up with other people's discarded loot. You may also buy a shopping bag for $5.
Now here's the charity part: The leftover clothes and all money raised go to CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) to help fight domestic violence against women and children. And if a new wardrobe and stellar karma weren't enough, you'll also get a free hotdog courtesy of the Dairy Inn.
Diva, charity looks good on you.
