Nine West espadrilles are stalking us on Google
You know how Google stalks you? How whatever you most recently searched for shows up on EVERY web page you visit? I'm still getting Pajama Jeans ads, and please, let's not talk about the one for "fun and easy weight loss." Sigh.
Lately, though, I'm being stalked by an ad for Nine West espadrilles. I don't recall searching for espadrilles recently, but then again, I've heard of people shopping in their sleep, and I wouldn't put it past myself. The ad comes up so often that I eventually gave in and clicked (boy, do they have my number).
Espadrilles are traditionally flat and ugly, but like everthing else, the fashion world has hijacked the term and pinned it to any sexy shoe with a rope sole. Fine by me. I'm obsessed with these shoes, and pretty much any shoes with a towering wedge. People who are my height (negative two) must do what we can to get by. I find this level of wedge extremely comfortable as long as your balance game is tight. And the green? Shut up. Gimme.
Nine West has a whole host of hot new espadrilles for summer, and I want them all in every color. Unforch, I'm poor and they're not exactly cheap. The Blancas here are $99. Sure, it's not Louboutin territory, and it's not unheard of to spend that much on a shoe you cherish, but here at Deal Divas we like to aim higher (lower?).
I scouted out a couple espadrille options that will leave you with enough money to snag a delicious fro-yo from the food court when you're done shopping.
Payless offers a less expensive take, because that's sort of their schtick. These Missy polka dot espadrille wedges are so cute and summery, and they're only $26.99. I want to wear them to a picnic, even though I can't remember the last time I ACTUALLY went on a picnic. Doesn't that only happen in movies?

These Bamboo Driven 22 Natural Gladiator super-wedges are pretty fun from Lulus.com. They're $33, but Lulus shoes sell out fast. I'd ordinarily be concerned about so much ankle-choking, but I think in the nude color it really works.

Welp, it's pretty painfully obvious that I need these shoes immediately. The Xhilaration Tallis espadrille combines my two favorite things, leopard and wedges, and they're only $19.99. Yeah. I'm pretty much just going to head out to Target right now. Tell my boss I'm "reporting," OK? Right, I'll see you later.

There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
