Rainy day fashion, aka the weather blues

Umbrella The weather forecast this week shows a little row of angry clouds. Ugh!

Mother Earth may welcome a break from our drought here in Florida. But my hair does not. Nor do my shoes, nor any outfit that requires ironing. When skies are gray, my wardrobe options get the blues.

Dress: No way. Parking lot downpour = instant dry cleaning bill.

Skirt: Pro, can dry off my legs. Con, I'll still be damp and freezing all day in the AC.

Pants: Once wet, stay wet all morning. Forget anything pressed or with a cuff that sweeps the floor.

Shoes: High heels get all squirmy and hard to walk. Sandals dry fast, but you get nasty run-off water all over your toes. Flats, only consider a pair that you don't mind ruining.

Hair: Why even bother?

END RESULT: Maximum frump.

It's not exactly a scenario to celebrate with rain forecast all week. My umbrella's cute, but that's not good for any fashion points inside.

I know when to ask for help: Anyone know a secret to looking good, come rain or shine?
