Runway action at Clearwater Fashion and Arts week

2

February

I live in Clearwater, so I'm especially glad to see the city proclaiming to have some fashion sense. This weekend marks the second annual Clearwater Fashion and Arts Week, full of clothes and movies and art and dance. From Wednesday to Sunday, check out specials, trunk shows and sample sales at the Craig Taylor Studio, Ten Thousand Villages, Blue Dahlia Marketplace and WareHaus Boutique. And then hit up these special events:

THURSDAY

Celebrate opening night with a behind the scenes tour of the Craig Taylor Studio. Taylor has designed dress shirts for Hillary Clinton and Oprah. His shirts, which normally sell for $200 to $250 at places like Nieman Marcus, will be on sale for $35 to $45 at the event. He'll also hold an informal question and answer session on how to break into the fashion industry.  The event starts at 5 p.m. at 519 Cleveland St., second floor.  After ward, take in the opening night party from  7-10 p.m. at System Productions, 34 N. Garden Ave. Organizers say the fashion show will be a "multi-media, multi-sensory fashion experience." The event is free and will be catered by Greektown Grille. Here's a shot from last year's show:
