See a play, unload some baggage
We've discussed at length our love of totes and purses, and with that love comes an abundance of extraneous bags filled with old lip glosses, gum wrappers and old receipts. My closet is filled with old purses that I just can't seem to part with, even though I haven't put them on my shoulder in years.
I know I'm not the only one. And so does Dress For Success, a charity that provides gently used professional clothing to disadvantaged women in the work force. Dress For Success has partnered up with the traveling performance of Love, Loss and What I Wore, a collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron which is opening tonight at the Straz.
Tonight through Saturday, Jan. 15, people attending the show at the Jaeb Theater (tickets are $38.50-$48.50) may bring their gently used or new purses and bags and donate them to the local chapter of Dress For Success, accepting the purses in the lobby.
Our own Deal Divas Stephanie will be going tonight to review the play, so look in Tampa Bay Times' page 2b for more info!
