Seeking a new iPhone case with style

I watched in slow-motion horror my as iPhone tumbled off my desk last night. "Nooooo!!" I screamed, reaching out in vain as it hit the deck. Thankfully, the Apple gods were with me and my most-prized-possession-of-all-time didn't shatter like it did the LAST time I dropped it. Phew.

But it really got me thinking. I need a stronger protective case. The sleek gold one I have now looks fantastic, but it's really more of a cute iPhone outfit. In the back of my mind, I know it won't hold up to my clumsiness.

Like any good Diva, I did my homework. I want a case that will wrap around the back and sides of my phone without being too bulky. And naturally, it needs to look fabulous.

This was the first to grab my attention. It's sold in the Museum of Modern Art's online store, so you know it's chic. I love it, but I'm not sure I'm ready to fork over $40.

I checked on Ebay, and they've got it for $36.99. Humph.

I'm really digging this one. Very Missoni-esque. It's another artist-designed one (by someone who goes by Uncommon) and also costs about $40

The Web site also lets you design your own case. Woah. Feeling overwhelmed.

How adorable is this one? It's by British designer Cath Kidston and named Providence Rose. I like that it's feminine without being too bubble-gum cutesy. Price is 24.95 pounds. (I told you she was British!)

Couldn't find this style anywhere else online.

This one might be my favorite. Simple, unique and with a nod to nature. There are quite a few bamboo-inspired cases out there in cyberspace, but a lot of them seem too clunky for me.

The lowest price for this one is $32 and change on Amazon.

These prices are a little more than I was hoping for, but I probably look at my iPhone more than anything else on a typical day. Maybe it's worth it to get one that really stands out. What do you think, Divas?
