Shopping. It’s often therapeutic. It helps stimulate the economy. And it can also be a way to give back to your community.
YMCA facilities across the nation will benefit this month from purchases made at JCPenney.
Each month, the jcp cares program invites customers to round up their bill to the nearest whole dollar and donate the difference to a new featured non-profit.
Next month, the chain will highlight Dress for Success, which provides interview and work clothing to low-income women worldwide, including from a branch office in Tampa.
JCPenney not your thing?
Macy’s is also advertising discounts of 30 percent off Heart of Haiti products. Half of proceeds from the handmade jewelry and home décor items are returned to the artists to help rebuild their lives and communities following a deadly 2010 earthquake.
