Should fur be outlawed?
If you're a regular reader of this blog, chances are you couldn't afford to wear fur even if you wanted to. Us divas didn't even bother looking at the price tags of the mink vests and jackets on display at Nordstrom during Fashion's Night Out a couple weeks ago (we see you back there, you pale, headless show-off).
Still, it's pretty interesting to hear that West Hollywood is considering banning the sale of fur clothing, as the New York Times reported today.
Animal rights folks are obvs happy about the idea. But the president of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said it would "absolutely diminish the city as a fashion capital."
Come on, really? Diminish the city as a fashion capital? There must be more to fashion than wearing Fido's hide, right? What's wrong with faux? It looks the same, it's fun to spell and you can use the money you saved to buy like a gazillion new dickeys.
Or maybe we're just cheap.
