Sidewalk fashion show on Beach Drive tonight!
If you happen to be strolling along Beach Drive in St. Petersburg with a fro-yo tonight, you'll find yourself right in the middle of a fashion show on the sidewalk. You will see a woman hoola hooping a ring of fire, a juggler, some DJs, lights, booze. And DRESSES. MANY DRESSES.
It's Fashion with a Tryst, a sidewalk fashion show happening outside Tryst Gastro Lounge, 240 Beach Drive NE. The fashions come from Designs to Shine, original designer for Dancing with the Stars. They also own Entrada Couture on Beach Drive, full of custom evening gowns and dresses. Full disclosure -- Summer Gray, my best friend since I was 11, is the creative director at Designs to Shine and Entrada, owned by Maria McGill. She's been creating sparkle confections since forever, and her apartment is covered in glitter. Needless to say, I love her.
I might stop by the fashion show tonight, so flag me down if you see me. There's a pre-show meet and greet at 6 p.m., followed by the show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20, or $35 for VIP. Proceeds benefit Pathfinder for youth outdoor adventures. Call (727) 678-4194.
