Tampa Bay Dots stores get a facelift
Did you guys ever go to Dots back in the day?
When I was in college at the University of South Florida, my roommate used to shop at the one in University Plaza all the time, near the scary discount grocery. Maybe it's because I had a bad experience with produce at the scary discount grocery, but I never ventured into Dots. Makes perfect sense, I know.
Apparently, Dots stores have undergone a gussying. The University Plaza store at 13564 University Plaza Drive, as well as one in Bradenton at 725 Cortez Road W., are part of a year-long renovation plan of up to 50 Dots stores in the country. The new stores have more space, easier layouts and bigger fitting rooms, according to the folks in charge. The color theme is pink and gray. Cute!
So what is there to wear? Let's check.
Dots is fully on board the neon train at the moment. You can get these little neon items for less than $10.
Here are some deconstructed jeans and shorts for less than $25.
All in all, it looks pretty junior-y. I might nab some accessories, but it's probably not for long-term investment wear. Better left to the college set. Next time I'm in the old neighborhood, I'll swing in for a closer look. I'm still avoiding the discount food mart, though.
