Thirsty for deals? Check out these happy hour sales!
Two of our favorite local consignment shops are hosting happy hour sales tonight, a tactic surely aimed at loosening up our pursestrings. Nevertheless, both are sure to be a lot of fun.
The first is happening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fresh Threads boutique, which recently moved across the street from its old location to 4230 S. MacDill Ave., suite F. The store always has a good selection of second-hand clothes and accessories with a few quality vintage items sprinkled in.
Stop by tonight for special deals, raffle drawings and complementary champagne and snacks.
The store donates 10 percent of its proceeds to a different charity each month. This month's recipient is the Learning Resource Center of Polk County. I'll drink to that!
The second hot spot is Sherry's Yesterdaze, at 5207 N Florida Ave. in Seminole Heights. Yesterdaze is the place to go for authentic vintage finds, from fur coats to funky sunglasses to home accesories.
Tonight (like every Thursday, I just learned) the store is staying open an extra two hours for its happy hour special -- spend more than $20 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. and get a coupon for a free beer at the Independent bar across the street.
