Time for a boot reboot?
It's February, which is normally the time of year when we start shopping for swimsuits in Florida. But this year, I'm tearing apart my closet trying to find a not-too-ratty sweater that I didn't wear, like, yesterday.
My biggest conundrum is boots. The kitten-heeled black booties that I so loved officially kicked the dust over the weekend. I've gotten so much use out of them this year that the heel fell right off. I almost cried.
It's still really pretty cold to be going sockless in the one pair of closed-toe flats that I still own after a decade of Sunshine State living. But do I want to invest in boots when it's going to be sandals weather, fingers crossed, in just a month?
My dangerously addictive online shoe source, 6pm.com, has a big sale on boots this week. Lots of styles for less than $50 or $100. I keep clicking back to this pair of snappy black boots for $31.99.
But I really shouldn't, wouldn't, couldn't....
