Victoria Beckham sports alien cone hair on American Idol
I dunno know, maybe Victoria Beckham gets unfairly picked on.
Sure, she's skinnier than my pinky. But maybe she's got a high metabolism.
She rarely smiles in pictures. Perhaps she's camera shy or, er, doesn't like her teeth.
I feel bad piling on. She actually came across as warmer than I expected as a guest judge on American Idol. But since Posh Spice spent most of her guest-judging time Tuesday night talking about contestants' looks and clothing, I can't help but raise the question that burned inside me.
WHAT THE &$#! DID SHE DO TO HER HAIR?!!!?
Part of me is quite tired of American Idol. These crazy people auditioning, with their weird tics and unjustified confidence? So 2005.
Yet just when I started to grumble, "seen it, over it," Mrs. Beckham showed up on my high-def TV Tuesday with her tresses styled in a tightly wound, alien-like cone on top of her head. Was she trying to compete with the wackos on stage? Was this her secret audition for an Avatar sequel, or the Jetsons?
Did somebody actually think this looked good?
Your opinions, please.

Think blazers with statement necklaces, and lots of patterned ballet flats. She can be reached at 850) 224-7263 or
Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or

She lives for 80 percent off shoes at DSW, floral sundresses and bohemian chic tops. She confesses to being a bit of a snob when it comes to handbags and jewelry.
