Weekend score at the Loft
Please excuse the interruption while I share (boast) my weekend score at Ann Taylor Loft, which lured me in with a sign announcing up to 70 percent off already marked-down items. Yes, please.
Most of what I grabbed didn't fit right, was the wrong color, had weird rouching, etc.
BUT, when I slipped on this pair of skinny capris, my friend with me gasped. "You have to buy those!" They fit perfectly -- an extremely rare feat, considering my abnormally large calves. I blame years of petit changements in ballet class... but I digress.
I asked myself how much I was willing to spend before peeking at the price tag, a money-saving trick passed on by my mother. I decided on $15.
Imagine my surprise when I flipped over the tag to see these sweet three digits:
Less than $5?! OH YES.
Smiling ear-to-ear, I paid and headed home... only to discover a sale alert from fellow diva Letitia Stein for Loft NEXT weekend -- 30 pecent off everything.
This got me thinking. Do I dare try to take my receipt back for a price adjustment? Would that just be too out of control? Should I be satisfied with my less-than-a-latte-priced slacks and move on with my life?
What do you think?
