What to wear when it's FREEZING in FL?
People in really cold places are probably laughing their heads off, but let's be real. They have wool sweaters and puffy coats. We have light jackets and one turtleneck leftover from a former life in a place where snow was fun.
Here are some tips for surviving a cold snap in Florida:
Do layer. A T-shirt or camisole makes a difference under a long-sleeve shirt and a sweater.
Don't rush out to buy a heavy coat you won't need in two weeks.
Do assess your wardrobe and invest in a few mid-weight pieces. If you don't already own a lightweight wool or leather jacket, buy it NOW.
Don't wear holiday sweaters all week just because they're warm.
Do style up with scarves and boots. As a colleague told me this morning, everyone looks better in cold-weather clothes!
Any other survival tips for making through the weekend without frostbite?
