White House|Black Market thinks we all live in the Bahamas
While most of the world is sleeping in thermal underwear and scraping ice off cars, White House|Black Market apparently thought no time was better than the present to unveil its 2011 beachwear and swim collection. Even here in sunny Florida, we can't bring ourselves to imagine our pasty, holiday cookie-eating, non-gym-going, possibly unshaven bodies in bikinis right now.
But I have to say, the collection is pretty darn cute. I especially love this wispy white off-the shoulder chemise number (left), on sale for $69.99, which is still a little pricey for something I won't be able to wear for months, if ever.
I realize it's the fantasy they're selling. Their website right now features beautiful ladies with bedroom eyes, lounging by sparkling blue waters as the sun bounces off their perfectly tanned skin. How I wish I was there instead of wrapped in a full-length jacket at my cubicle, cursing building maintenance for the frigid thermostat temperatures they seem to think are suitable for a productive work environment.
Perhaps ordering these adorable $38 beige summer gem wedge shoes (right) will make me feel better ...
