Win the gold for utilizing Olympics-themed promotions
At least one store out there has an Olympics promotion, and, seeing as how we Divas are trapped in euphoria over the games, we approve.
Banana Republic is offering 30 percent off online-only purchases through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday. The secret check-out code is BRGOLD.
There are some exceptions to the "Go for the Gold" sale: new arrivals, the Timeless collection, men's shoes and bags, women's boots, leather... point is, read the fine print.
This skirt, though? Fair game. You can dress it up with neutral heels and a bright blouse (color mixing!) or down with a denim shirt and funky bag (for more color mixing!).

Sales abound at other stores, though I'm a little bummed they are not also Olympics-themed. Come on, stores, get in the $pirit!
Old Navy is extending its back-to-school discounts to women's wear, which means $15 jeans and a little discount on these cap-toe flats (trend alert).

Some stuff is marked down at Anthropologie, including this adorable "Tussie Tank."

Sidenote: Anyone else help her mom craft tiny symbolic bouquets called tussie-mussies? No?
Well, I can tell you these floral gifts have been a thing since the Victorian era and may have peaked in popularity in rural north Florida in the late '90s. So, um, lock that away for trivia night and put the money you saved on a free pitcher of beer toward stocking your closet.

Think blazers with statement necklaces, and lots of patterned ballet flats. She can be reached at 850) 224-7263 or
Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
A disciple of the little black dress classics school, Letitia Stein stretches her budget by looking for styles with staying power. She lives for 80 percent off shoes at DSW, floral sundresses and bohemian chic tops. She confesses to being a bit of a snob when it comes to handbags and jewelry.
