Worth it? My hot deal $465 Taryn Rose sandals

tarynrose.jpegEver wonder if expensive shoes would fit better, last longer and give your feet a massage and pedicure while you walked?

I sure did. So I recently splurged -- deal diva style -- on $465 Tayrn Rose sandals. I found a hot deal on a one day sale at and scored the Taryn Rose orchid sandals for $50.

The verdict: Mixed.

Yes, Virginia, there is such thing as arch support, although you'd never find out shopping at Payless shoes. Tayrn Rose may be a particularly comfy brand as it was founded by an orthopedic surgeon.

While I'm not quite walking on air, my feet are a lot happier at the end of the day. And I don't feel like I sacrificed style. I like the patent leather slide paired with a black and white stacked heel.

But these shoes are not also toning by toes, buffing the floors and leaping large puddles in a single step. In the end, they are just shoes, although comfy ones. I'd probably regret giving up a plane ticket to New York, or you know, falling behind in the rent, had I paid full price.

Any other testimonials out there to expensive footwear: Is it worth the splurge?
