Kameel's Desert Island Product: Clinique moisturizer
This morning I was joking with Deal Diva Katie that if I ever got stranded on a (hopefully) tropical island, all I'd really need was a hand saw.
I'd use it to crack open the coconuts, naturally. And not to drink the milk or eat the fruit, but for the oil -- which quite possibly may be the best thing in my beauty routine these days.
I'll have to tell you about my love affair with coconut oil some other day, because when I got back to my desk, I realized there was probably a different item better suited for this exercise: Clinique's "Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief."
Don't let the long name turn you off. This stuff is no joke and it WORKS. (It's also expensive as heck, but we'll get to that later.)
Here's why I'd want it with me:
* It is, without a doubt, one of the most effective moisturizers I've tried in recent years. Probably because it was created by scientists or something. (At the very least, the people who talk about it in this video are wearing white coats.)
* The smell is not overpowering, and the consistency (more gel than cream) is actually a little ... fun? It's goopy without being THAT goopy, ya know?
* It can go over or under makeup. It can be used as a quick moistue mask (essentially glob some on your face for a few minutes then blot the excess).
* And finally, a little goes a longggggg way. Which is good because for a mere .5 oz, this stuff costs $12 (I told you, expensive).
