My Outfit Monday: A Florida girl's winter layers
It's north of 50 degrees this MLK Day, and I'm in a navy sundress.
Of course, a sundress alone will not do for this chilly day, so I added tights, hidden socks, tall and cheap brown boots, and a belted, slouchy, possibly chartreuse, hand-me-down grandpa sweater. For extra warmth, I added a floral infinity scarf and my trusty trench.
You can see it all in the slideshow (plus a tangerine surprise).
The two-toned dress was a steal from Anthropologie last summer.
My drop earrings are a fun purple print made from a vintage necktie -- a sweet gift from my BFF via Gainesville-based Luellabird. I like how the pattern in the earrings matches the spotted yellow accents on the dress. (I sprung for purple eyeshadow, too.)
I was feeling slouchy this morning, so I grabbed my little-used, oh-so-touristy burlap bag that says "Coffee of Guatemala 2008-2009." I don't know if you can tell from my description, but I bought it after touring a coffee operation in Guatemala on a vacation that started in the last week of 2008 and ended in the first days of 2009.
What do you think?
