My Outfit Monday: Brunch much?
My outfit for an indulgent brunch needed just one thing.
Room for forgiveness.
See, brunch at a friend's house is 1 million times better than at a restaurant. You can get seconds and thirds of bacon quiche and drinks without weighing it against an inflated menu price (it also helps when your friends are generous and talented cooks). There will usually be games and dancing, and all of the eating and moving calls for a comfortable outfit that won't hold you back.
Key words: Oversized. Stretchy. Flats. Play to win.
Let's focus on the wine-colored skinnies, which I snagged 25 percent off. I'm finding it very hard not to wear them every day because they go with so much. They're punchier than brown, with all of the neutral benefits.
Deal Diva Kameel knows what I am talking about. As I wrote this post, she strode over to my desk wearing indigo pants. Look how cute she is in the slideshow! Deal Diva Stephanie knows too.
The moral of the story: Colored pants remain the truth, and brunch is serious.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to eat my ham and cheese sandwich at my desk and pine for the better meals of days gone by.
