My Outfit Monday: Shady in red
Something fun seems to happen every time I wear this bright red dress.
In April, I wore it to my grandmother's wedding. (Yes, grandmother. She's 82 and found love again. Awwwww.) In June, I wore it while meeting the sweetest dog I've laid eyes on in a long time. (The dog turned out to be pretty great at office work! See slideshow.)
Today, I put on my reliable, versatile Banana Republic summer dress and... and... fine, I'm still waiting on something exceedingly fun to happen. Maybe a part of me is still in uber patriotism mode from the long weekend. (Wait, I did buy plane tickets for an upcoming mini vacation this morning, should that count?)
For work, I've been pairing the dress with a cropped black lace blazer from H&M. As previously noted, I wish I had a light blazer in my possession, like this one, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
I was going to go with black closed-toe wedges, but I kicked them off at the last minute. They felt too severe for this bright, bright day. Instead I decided to try Deal Diva Keyonna's magic leg-extending trick of wearing nude heels.
My favorite part of the outfit is the teacup cherry ring. Somehow I keep forgetting about it even though it screams good times.
What's your take?
