New Habitat for Humanity ReStore opening in Tampa
Who likes deals? We do!
Who likes giving? We like that, too!
Good news for us: Habitat for Humanity is set to unveil its second ReStore in Hillsborough County.
ReStore is a home improvement store and resale center that sells donated furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances for bargain basement prices, all to raise funds to help build, rehab and repair homes, creating ownership opportunities in partnership with low-income families.
In 2014, ReStore donations diverted more than 128,000 tons of building materials from landfills and raised more than $100 million for homebuilding locally and around the world.
“The opening of this new ReStore marks the latest step in our efforts to eliminate substandard housing in Hillsborough County,” executive director Tina Swain said in a press release.
Supporters and shoppers alike can expect a festive atmosphere when they check out the Northwest Tampa location’s grand opening between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday. It’s all happening at 11236 W Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa.
