Shopping Planner: I Love St. Pete Party, Boudoir shoot and a design experience

Hometown Pride: I Love St. Pete Party
The ’Burg gets a lot of love, especially from creative types, for fiercely supporting the arts. ARTpool Gallery is a small business that has benefitted from that support, so it’s no wonder they hold an I Love St. Pete party. The 11th annual event Saturday features music, art and fashion from local makers and businesses. They have a runway show and there’s no end to the cool stuff you can find at ARTpool, including jewelry, vintage clothing and home decor, plus tons of vinyl. You can also get an I Love St. Pete T-shirt there. The event runs 8 p.m. to midnight, with the runway show at 10 p.m. $10 in advance, $15 VIP. 2030 Central Ave.

PinUp: Valentine’s Day Boudoir Shoot
Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Here’s a gift idea that means much more than a box of chocolates: a boudoir photography shoot of your sexy self for your boo. Jami Lynn Photography is offering sessions 4:30-11 p.m. Saturday. She’ll provide props (or you can bring your own) and wine. Not familiar with boudoir photography? Think intimate and romantic, sexy and suggestive, but not explicit. Lingerie is usually involved. The 45-minute session costs $75; $10 deposit required. You’ll get a CD of an unlimited number of images. The location will be disclosed when you book an appointment by calling (813) 464-4510 or emailing Space is limited.

Creative Freedom: CBLU Design Experience
Cerulean Blu is a swim and resort wear boutique in downtown St. Pete, where owner Desiree Noisette designs not only the apparel but also textiles. Her CBLU Design Experience lets you get in on the fun with technology she created to easily design a print for custom apparel, home decor and gifts. Workshops are held weekly at the boutique, sometimes twice a day, led by artists to help you create several designs. The Pirate Life image pictured is one of the pirate-themed designs at Friday’s 7 p.m. workshop. Perfect timing with Gasparilla next week, and bonus: They’ll have tastings of St. Pete Distillery’s Righteous Rum and Spice.
Did I mention you can always bring your own libations and snacks to workshops? Classes are about an hour and a half and cost $45. Once you’ve created your designs, select the ones you’d like printed. Artists print them on your choice of product, including T-shirts, hand towels and a baby onesie, or you can upgrade to an apron, large pillow or blanket for $20. Check the calendar and book a spot at 400 Beach Drive, Suite 169. (727) 498-8984.
