Shopping Planner: St. Pete Shirt Co., Bloomwolf Studio
New Year, New Place to Shop: St. Pete Shirt Company
There’s a new kid on the ever-changing 600 Block of downtown St. Pete, and St. Petersburg is definitely the focus. The St. Pete Shirt Co. is owned by mother and son Shelly and Travis Hise. The shop opened in November, and is the absolute go-to if you want a St. Pete T-shirt, hat or hoodie, either as a souvenir, gift or to wear yourself just to show your love for the ’Burg. With the exception of an extensive product line by Chizzy, aka Chad Mize, the rest of the St. Pete merchandise was designed by Travis and printed at his off site printing facility or embroidered there at the shop. (Travis also owns the Local Longboard Co. two doors down.) They offer custom printing and embroidery services as well. They also sell cool socks, fun belts and watches and some of Chizzy’s small artworks at 655 Central Ave. Call them for hours at (727) 827-7876. stpeteshirtco.com.
Item of the Week: Bloomwolf Studio Cards
The holidays are almost officially over, so now it’s time to send out those thank you notes! Bloomwolf Studio’s got your back; their cards will surely express your gratitude in the most beautiful way. I came across them at the Pierce Street Market in Clearwater, and was enchanted by this charming line of paper goods. Co-founder and illustrator Betsy Garcia is a self-taught artist based out of Sarasota. In addition to thank you cards, she has a full line of greeting cards for every occasion, and she makes prints of her designs. I’m always on the hunt for artistic cards, so finding them was a real joy. What’s really cool is that you can mix and match cards to make your own set. You’ll find them at indie markets, but you can also visit bloomwolfstudio.com to see all of the creations.
