DAPPER DUDS: SUITSUPPLY GRAND OPENING
We all know dudes who love getting booted and suited, so having Suitsupply open in Hyde Park Village is exciting. The Dutch company is known for its modern takes on classic silhouettes, use of Italian fabrics and relatively economical tailored suits. Fashion forward men have probably heard of it, as it was named one of GQ’s 100 Best Suit Shops in America. So come fete the local arrival from 6-9 p.m. today and enjoy music, drinks and light snacks. Complimentary valet will be provided. 1525 W Swann Ave., Tampa.

BARK FOR THE CAMERA: PET PHOTO SHOOT FUNDRAISER
So while your phone is likely loaded with snaps of your fur babies being adorable, having a professional photo would be nice, especially when it’s for a good cause. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay and AGoldPhoto have teamed up this Saturday and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. to photograph your pet for a minimum donation of $75. This includes three digital photos of the pet, which you’ll receive via email, and you’ll have an opportunity to purchase more photo products, with 50 percent of donations going to the shelter, 3607 N Armenia Ave., Tampa. (813) 876-4150. humanesocietytampa.org.

BIBLIOPHILES UNITE: WEEKEND BOOK EVENTS
What a time to be a booklover! There are two events over the weekend that will help make your reading list a little longer. On Point Executive Center will host a Book Fair at WestShore Plaza on Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Connect with more than 100 local authors, bloggers, publishers and a variety of literary-themed vendors during this free event. Authors will offer book signings and conversations regarding their work. Several well-known publishers will also take part in the Book Fair and will be available to discuss personal book ventures. There will also be storytelling by children’s authors, custom selfie stops and giveaways. 250 WestShore Plaza, Tampa. facebook.com/onpointbookfair.

Across the bridge that same day, the Friends of the Safety Harbor Public Library are holding a book sale at the library, 101 Second St. N, Safety Harbor, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. You can find all genres of books, as well as DVDs and CDs, and most items cost only $1! Proceeds benefit the library. (727) 724-1525, ext. 4112.

CUTE COMFORT: BAY AREA LULAROE LOVERS EXTRAVAGANZA
If you’re a woman on social media, chances are you’ve been put into a group with people who sell LulaRoe clothing. The brand, known for bold prints, stylish comfort and especially leggings, uses a business model where independent “consultants” organize local selling events rather than be sold in stores or online. Sunday, 25 local consultants will convene at CrossFit Triumph in Clearwater, at 28342 U.S. 19 N. Expect tons of inventory and giveaways every hour from noon to 4 p.m.

RUNWAY REMINDER: ST. PETE ART AND FASHION WEEK
Last week I told you about St. Pete Art and Fashion Week, which kicked off on Monday, but events happen through Saturday. Tonight it’s the  Bloom event at Platformz, bringing together designers and photographers as they do a live photo shoot. Friday has Art Inspired, a showcase of work from local artists at BBD Life Studio. The festival culminates with Saturday’s Runway Fashion Show at One Progress Plaza, featuring eight Florida designers, including Raul Castillo and Allison Elizabeth Designs. Tickets range from $10-$35, and can be purchased through stpeteartfashionweek, where you can also find a complete list of events and locations. Proceeds benefit the Warehouse Arts District.
