Thrifty Bride: The Wedding Flea
Weddings are expensive, no matter how you slice it. The venue, the dress, the party; it all starts adding up, and then when it’s over, you have a bunch of stuff you’re probably never going to use again. Enter the Wedding Flea, a wedding decor bazaar where newlywed brides offer gently-used wedding treasures to brides-to-be. The event tonight at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg will feature a wide array of all things wedding. You can create your tablescapes with table linens, chair sashes, dinnerware and centerpieces. One vendor makes veils, jewelry and accessories and sells them all for under $50. Another specializes in hand lettering and calligraphy, and will make you a custom sign on the spot. Planning a rustic wedding? There will be crates, lanterns and the like. They’ll even have vintage decor and furniture, so you might want to bring a truck. A cash bar and Vanchetta food truck will be available. The first 100 attendees receive a tote bag. $5.  5-8 p.m. 255 Beach Drive NE.

Print Your Heart Out: Paper & Pints
Try your hand at printmaking at this cool event Paper & Pints at Print St. Pete Community Letterpress on Friday. Featured artist Coralette Damme, aka the Crafty Hag, will lead a letterpress workshop that comes with a beer. She’ll demo her printmaking technique, and you’ll learn by printing a set of four Valentine’s Day cards so you don’t have to rely on the drugstore this year. There will also be letterpress goods for sale by the Crafty Hag, Oma Darlin’ and the Southern Letterpress. $15 admission includes all materials plus one craft beer.
Pre-registration and payment are encouraged at, but you can pay at the door, too. It happens from 7-9 p.m. at 4903 Eighth Ave. S, St. Petersburg.

Model Behavior: Fashion for Food
Benefitting the St. Petersburg Free Clinic’s Food Bank, Tuesday’s Fashion for Food event at the Hollander Hotel features a runway show with vintage and contemporary fashions from St. Pete’s Love Hangover Boutique. The event was organized by Lauren “Elle” Hubbard in celebration of her 30th birthday, so part of the event is a “toast and roast” by local comics, including Tim C. and Cam Bertrand. There will also be music from JT Brown and live painting from John Suarez. Silent auction items includes a private, in-home wine tasting for 12 people, fashions from Love Hangover and a painting by Suarez. Tickets are $30, which includes three drink tickets, but if you make a $1,000 donation, you receive 10 guest tickets, 30 drink tickets, a cabana poolside and entrance to the VIP pre-party at the Avalon Hotel. 7-10 p.m. 421 Fourth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. Tickets available here.

Item of the Week: Don Me Now Gasparilla Gear
Unless you’ve been under some very large rock, you know that the Gasparilla parade is this weekend. It’s a great opportunity to dress like a pirate, or at least go heavy on the skulls. The Don Me Now boutique in Hyde Park Village is just the place to find a fashionable way to show Gasparilla spirit without looking too costume-y. They have designed six custom tops for Gasparilla, including men’s shirts with fun sayings like “Gettin Shipfaced on Champagne” and “I Run a Tight Ship.” They also have skull tops, leggings and stripes, and will style you a custom look. 1627 W Snow Circle, Tampa.
