Trying a new look with white eyeliner

After trying and liking white nail polish recently, I decided to give white eyeliner a try too, prompted by seeing some other makeup blog posts saying wearing it on the bottom of your eye makes your eyes look bigger. If I use eyeliner, I usually just put a little on the top lid, but I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison to see if the white liner would really make my eyes look bigger.

Verdict? Not sure. I don't know that it makes my eyes look bigger, but I like the brightness of the white. It's a good day-time look, and a fun change. I like using liner and eye shadow and mascara and all that, but I don't like anything too dramatic for day-to-day, so the white's a nice look to put into rotation. I got the Rimmel Soft Kohl pencil in pure white for $3 and some change at Target. The black pencil is Rimmel Scandaleyes.

The other products I used were Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara, a Sephora eye shadow pallete in my favorite color Cocktail on the Beach (harhar), and Garnier skin renew anti-dark circle roller.

I also have purple eyeliner from Birchbox to try. Cosmo's got a couple of cool looks to try, too. Do you stick to basic black or have you tried other colors, too?
