Meyer: No interest in Atlanta Falcons
ORLANDO - Despite reports that he's a potential candidate to replace Bobby Petrino as head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Florida coach Urban Meyer said he has no interest in the job.
“Falcons job?’’ Meyer responded when asked. “No, they haven’t called.’’
Meyer has often said he isn't interested in professional football, saying his passion is for the college game. On Sunday, he said that hasn’t changed.
“I’m really happy where I’m at,’’ he said. “I’ll give you the coach 101 speech, but mine is from the heart.’’
