ESPN College GameDay coming to Gainesville
You know it's a big game when Kentucky AND ESPN come to town.
ESPN's College GameDay will be in Gainesville on Saturday as part of the network's primetime telecast of the Florida vs. Kentucky game at 9 p.m.
It is the first time GameDay has been held at the O'Connell Center since 2006, only the second time ever.
If you're interested in attending the live ESPN GameDay broadcast, doors will open at 9:30 a.m., Saturday. The general public may enter through Gate 1 of the O'Connell Center.
Sportscenter will cut live to the O’Connell Center during the first segment of its 10 a.m. show. Following the live segment, fans at the O’Connell Center will be treated to performances from the pep band and Dazzlers, as well as a number of fan-friendly contests before ESPN Gameday is broadcast from the building from 11 a.m.-noon.
After the conclusion of Gameday, fans will need to exit the building. Doors will reopen at 7 p.m. for Rowdy Reptiles and 7:30 p.m. for the general public. ESPN will broadcast a second show from 8-9 p.m. from the O’Connell Center, leading up to the tip of the Gators’ game with Kentucky at 9 p.m.
