Ingram to return for his senior season

GAINESVILLE – Less than a week after he said he would forego his senior season to enter the NFL Draft, Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram has decided to return next season.
Ingram, who did not return phone calls Wednesday, told Gainesville’s WCJB-TV 20 late Wednesday night he has decided that earning his degree is more important than starting his potential pro career early.
“I want to graduate,’’ Ingram said. “No one ever graduated in my family from college, so I’ll be the first with only five classes left.’’
Ingram told reporters prior to the Capital One Bowl that if he was projected to go in the first three rounds, he would leave for the NFL. He was projected to be a second or third round pick, but ultimately had a change of heart.
“I talked to my brother four or five times a day,’’ Ingram said. “. . . He told me to do what was in my heart and what was best  for me.’’
